HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ALPHA!

Happy holidays from Alpha Industries!
We hope it’s been an excellent year for you as it has been for us. 2018 was full of hard work, fresh new designs, and exciting collaborations that kept us feeling busy but accomplished all year.
While most of us will be spending Christmas at home with our families, let’s take a moment to send warm greetings to those who can’t do the same. Families with a deployed loved one can have an especially difficult time over the holidays, and Christmas Day at the base often feels like just a normal working day. But even when troops are deployed far away and overseas, they still manage to keep the holiday spirit alive, often decorating military equipment, coming together for meals and holidays parties, or dressing up as Santa Claus to brighten up a day’s work. The program Trees for Troops, created by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, gathers donations to deliver live Christmas trees to overseas troops and Armed Service members and their families in the US.
There is also a large number of foundations and charitable programs that focus on supporting military members and their families over the holidays. Here are just a few:
- The organization Soldiers’ Angels hosts an annual Adopt-A-Family program, where volunteers can register to send presents and a grocery gift card to military families spending the holidays on a tight budget.
- The Red Cross hosts Holidays for Heroes events at local offices across the country, where anyone can stop by to recognize and thank military service members, veterans, and their families through activities such as Christmas card-making.
- Homefront America’s Christmas Toy Store gives parents of military children the opportunity to shop for presents at no cost, and offers fun, holiday-themed activities for kids to enjoy.
- Operation Holiday Joy uses donations to purchase and distribute thousands of toys and food baskets to military families.
Donate or volunteer your time with these or any of the dozens of similar programs across the country to show your appreciation, love, and gratitude.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
