Adolescence is a battlefield – and no TV show in recent memory captured its trials, tribulations, and pure hilariousness better than Judd Apatow’s Freaks & Geeks. Set in the early 1980s, the F&G cast included such future superstars as Jason Segal, Seth Rogen and James Franco. The show didn’t last long – just one season – but it quickly achieved cult immortality and a devoted fan base.

The heart of Freaks & Geeks was Lindsey Weir (played by Linda Cardellini), a straight-A student and leader of the nerdtastic “Mathletes” at William McKinley High School in suburban Michigan. Say goodbye to cardigans and hello to the Alpha M-65 Field Coat, an item that adds just the right amount of toughness – dare we say badass-ness? – to Lindsey’s look. It’s a period-appropriate touch: the M-65 was a consignment shop staple throughout the 1970s, and was a popular choice for teens who wanted to stand out. And standout Lindsey does, proving that the M-65 looks as effortlessly cool on girls as it does on guys…
